When you interact with the chatbot: - Your messages are sent to OpenAI or Google (depending on configuration) to generate responses - Chat conversations may be stored temporarily for quality improvement - Conversations are automatically deleted after 30 days - No personal identifiers are sent to AI providers ### PurioChat “No API Key” access When a WordPress administrator selects the PurioChat “No API Key” option and gives explicit consent, PureThemes collects and stores only the administrator email address entered in the plugin and the website domain. These details are used solely to authenticate the site, provide and meter managed access, enforce usage limits, and prevent abuse. They are not used for marketing. To generate chat responses and embeddings, the content required for each request—including chatbot messages and text submitted for embedding—is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection from the WordPress site to a PureThemes-managed proxy server (VPS). The proxy forwards the request to [OpenRouter](https://openrouter.ai/) and returns the generated response or embedding to the WordPress site. PureThemes does not store prompt content, generated responses, or embeddings on the proxy server; they are processed only in transit. OpenRouter and the underlying AI model provider process each request according to their own privacy and data-retention terms. OpenRouter may retain request metadata that does not include prompt or response content.
